Signature 10 SuperPack Information:

The large, beautifully finished plinth of the Signature 10 turntable is made from MDF, packed with metal granulate to create a heavy, non-resonant base for the turntable. This plinth then sits on four powerful magnetic feet, which are lined with TPE pillows, for effective decoupling from a hi-fi stand. The result is a successful combination of the 'high-mass' and 'floating turntable' design principles that were first successfully merged by Pro-Ject with the high-end Xtension turntables.

On top of the main plinth, the Signature 10 uses a mass-loaded magnetic sub-chassis, which is perfect for reducing resonance and noise transfer to the cartridge. The large, heavy main platter - taken directly from the Signature 12 turntable, rides on this sub-chassis, rotating on an inverted ceramic main bearing. The main platter itself is machined from a specially selected, resonance-optimised metal alloy, which is internally lined with damping material and topped with melted vinyl records. The turntable is finished with the Signature Record Puck as part of the package.

The external motor is powered by a high-tolerance speed controller, which also allows for easy switching between 33 and 45RPM. The motor rotates the platter via a purpose designed perimeter drive belt, which offers exceptional timing.

The striking 10" Signature tonearm is a unique Pro-Ject design. Unlike anything else in the range, Pro-Ject's Signature Tonearms are made from different metal and aluminium alloys and are tooled with ultra-precise diamond cutters on CNC machinery. Inside the tonearm tube, damping material is meticulously applied to add mass and acoustic integrity, but in order to keep the iconic toe-tapping sound that Pro-Ject is associated with, the tube is mounted on a special, oil-damped Uni-Pivot bearing. To further aid exact set-up, Signature Tonearms can have the VTA, Azimuth and Overhang easily adjusted. The use of a detachable headshell allows the Signature 10 to easily accommodate a variety of high-end cartridges, whether they're for a specific use (such as Mono recordings) or to suit a certain musical style or genre.

The Signature 10 SuperPack is supplied in the box with a high-end Ortofon MC Cadenza Black cartridge, allowing you to achieve unrivalled sound quality, and save compared to when purchasing the cartridge separately.

Signature turntables are the true flagships of Pro-Ject's range, bringing together the best of the best in terms of technologies, materials and components in order to create the pinnacle of Hi-Fi reproduction. Where other models may employ a select few means of keeping the signal pure in order to better suit the market, Signature turntable don't conform to such ways of thinking, making use of damping, mass-loading, magnetic decoupling and a flywheel mechanism (as well as many others), to ensure the most audiophile performance possible.

Listening to a Signature turntable do it's thing, is truly something special and I strongly encourage you to demo one if you can. Give us a call or contact your local dealer and enquire today - you won't regret it.

  • Yes, it is possible for this turntable to be upgraded with a true balanced connection to a supporting Pro-Ject phono stage.*

For turntables with an RCA output, you can purchase one of our RCA > MiniXLR or RCA > XLR cables, depending on the phono stage you are connecting to.

For turntables with a MiniXLR output, you can run a MiniXLR > MiniXLR or MiniXLR > XLR cable, depending on the phono stage you are connecting to.

For turntables with a 5pin TAC output, you can purchase a 5P > MiniXLR or 5P > XLR cable.

For more information on the True Balanced Connection concept click here.

*True Balanced Connections always require a Moving Coil cartridge to be installed.

  • Pro-Ject Audio Systems are masters of the analogue format. Their extensive range of turntables covers every use-case and budget, and most are sold as complete solutions with a pick-up cartridge readily installed. However, when you get to higher end designs, there is often not a pre-installed cartridge - as the choice of pick-up becomes ever-more personal.

To help in this situation, Henley Audio, as distributors for both Pro-Ject Audio Systems and Ortofon, can offer cartridge bundle and installation services that sees your high-end turntable sent ready to set-up and spin with your own choice of cartridge pre-installed.

Details of the cartridges we offer as part of this service can be found at the top of this page within 'promotions', but it covers premium Moving Coil options from Pro-Ject Audio Systems and the Ortofon Cadenza Series. For latest info or to discuss your requirements, Contact Us or speak with your local Pro-Ject Reference Partner dealer. If you choose to purchase a bundle cartridge and have your dealer fit it, or fit it yourself, the cartridge will be supplied securely and safely with the turntable, but not with normal retail packaging.

All cartridges installed at Henley Audio will be treated with the utmost care and attention and fitted by a skilled and experienced member of our team. The turntable it's being installed on will also be set-up for a brief test, to confirm compatibility. All Henley Audio installed systems will have a certificate of authenticity enclosed, for added confidence when you get the turntable home. There is a £25.00 +VAT charge to have a Henley Audio engineer install your cartridge, and there may be a minor delay to despatching your turntable as a result.

Cartridges installed onto high-end turntables as part of a "bundle" deal are classified as BULK stock, which means they do not have full retail packaging and accessories. This is one of the ways we're able to offer such great discounts for you.
