The USB Box S is a high-quality external computer soundcard, built to hi-fi specification. It introduces your computer-based music to your traditional hi-fi set-up in a simple but effective way. There's absolutely no installation needed, and the sound is first-class.

Windows computer systems normally resample music from CD with Windows Kernel mixer, but this conversion is well known to deteriorate the end audio performance. Pro-Ject's direct streaming technology allows bit-by-bit processing of the audio file. This avoids unwanted signal alteration by by-passing the Windows kernel mixer. In order to get the most out of this functionality, a playback software like foobar 2000 is needed.
