This product is no longer available to order and will not be coming back into stock.
In Stock products are those that are currently held in stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse. This stock status is updated regularly but is subject to change at very short notice.
Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.
Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.
Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.
Exclusive products are sold only through one, or sometimes a very small number of dealers. As part of their commitment to the product’s exclusivity, they carry most of the available stock. The legendary Klipschorn is the longest continuous production speaker designed to bring the power, detail and emotion of live music to any living room. The AK7 offers users the option to add a Heritage Active Crossover for the first time in its history taking the speaker to new heights offering a dramatic improvement in audio clarity, definition and warmth.
For over 75 years, the Klipschorn has been delivering the power, detail and emotion of live music of the concert hall into living rooms across the globe. Defining high-efficiency home audio, the Klipschorn is experiencing a renaissance in the modern era.
Klipsch couple each driver with a precisely measured horn and optimise it for one of three passbands for exceptional efficiency in the Klipschorn AK7. This design generated greater acoustic power with less wattage and produces crystal clear sound with minimal distortion across the frequency spectrum.
To optimise high-frequency performance, the K-771 compression driver is paired with a patented, wide-dispersion phase plug. This minimises cancellations and equalises wavelengths, providing a wider, more consistent soundstage. This allows the Klipschorn and La Scala to deliver greater clarity and coverage than ever before.
The AK7 and AL6 now feature Klipsch’s classic Tractrix technology for even greater acoustic precision. The new, patented K-406M modified Tractrix mid-range horn features a shorter 5,1 cm (2") throat that improves time alignment by bringing the exit point of the driver closer to the other. Additionally, Klipsch’s Mumps technology improves coverage across all drive-units, integrating small contours to help maintain an even frequency response to the horn’s edge. The result is a more natural, immersive sound experience. New mid-range compression driver.
The Klipschorn’s fully enclosed low-frequency horn, paired with the powerful K-33-E 38.1cm (15”) woofer delivers deep, rich bass with remarkable clarity and impact. Its innovative folded horn design increases bass extension and efficiency.
The latest Klipschorn and La Scala models can now be paired with a cutting-edge Heritage Active Crossover expertly tuned by legendary acoustician Roy Delgado. Drawing from the ground-breaking innovations in the acclaimed Klipsch Jubilee, this advanced crossover breathes new life into the DSP active network, delivering superior time and phase alignment, balanced EQ, and true-to-source response. These elegantly styled components fit easily in a rack or neatly on a shelf.
The newly designed I/O panel on both the Klipschorn and La Scala 2025 models now includes passive and active inputs, and a passive output. Both speakers are available with the passive crossover network installed; the new panel design makes it easy to switch between passive and active configurations, accommodating the Heritage Active Crossover for a plug-and-play set up.
Klipsch has always recognised the unique and critical role of a loudspeaker’s cabinet in the sound reproduction process. From the craftsmen in Hope, AR, to the engineers in Indianapolis, IN, Klipsch have always put an extraordinary emphasis on cabinet design.
Every pair of Heritage series loudspeakers is also grain-matched, using wood veneer panels that come from the same timber. The speakers then move seamlessly together through the factory, and each finished product is inspected and labelled with sequential serial numbers for perfectly matched pairs.
