This product is no longer available to order and will not be coming back into stock.
In Stock products are those that are currently held in stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse. This stock status is updated regularly but is subject to change at very short notice.
Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.
Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.
Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.
Exclusive products are sold only through one, or sometimes a very small number of dealers. As part of their commitment to the product’s exclusivity, they carry most of the available stock. Inspired by Musical Fidelity’s iconic B-Line, the B1xcd brings genuine high-end engineering to a more accessible price point. Its extruded aluminium front panel, all-metal chassis, solid metal controls and precision-machined buttons deliver a reassuringly premium finish, while the supplied remote control and large LCD display make operation effortless. Track, time and CD-Text information are presented clearly at a glance.
Purpose-built for the Red Book CD-DA standard, the B1xcd focuses on accurate 1:1 playback of stereo audio CDs. Its tray-loading drive is protected by a robust metal cover, while a low-vibration mechanism mounting helps reduce jitter and unwanted noise. The result is precise disc reading that reveals the detail, scale and musical character within every recording.
At the heart of the player is the advanced SUOS BlueTiger™ CD-88 servo, a refined evolution of the CD-80 platform. Sophisticated error correction and predictive algorithms help counter disc damage, imperfect optical read-outs, mechanical vibration and signal errors, supporting stable, accurate CD playback. State-of-the-art DAC circuitry then extracts every nuance with outstanding resolution.
Analogue RCA outputs make the B1xcd ready to connect directly to an amplifier, while coaxial and optical digital outputs provide the flexibility to use an external DAC. Whether you are returning to a treasured CD collection or choosing the enduring appeal of physical music, its warm, natural and analogue-like presentation brings recordings to life with authenticity and involvement.
