This product is no longer available to order and will not be coming back into stock.
In Stock products are those that are currently held in stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse. This stock status is updated regularly but is subject to change at very short notice.
Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.
Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.
Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.
Exclusive products are sold only through one, or sometimes a very small number of dealers. As part of their commitment to the product’s exclusivity, they carry most of the available stock. Rated at 10A when used with 230V the maximum power throughput is 2300W (1100W when used in 110V regions). As a general rule of thumb, one source
consumes between 20 - 40W. You can comfortably connect 6 and even more sources at the same time.
Note: we recommend to not mix digital with analogue source devices.
General formula for 230V (adjust accordingly for 110V): (channels x amp power @ 8 Ohm) x efficiency headroom < 2300W
Class AB: Calculating a headroom of 50% for the lesser efficiency of Class AB and to account for proper peak power delivery, we can safely say that the X-Power handles stereo amps around 700W and even more. (2 x 700W) x 1,5 headroom < 2300W
The power consumption of Class AB is proportional to the listening level, so in typical listening scenarios, Class AB amps draw much less power than in
the above calculation.
Class A: Class A draws the same amount of power at full or minimum volume level. Calculating a headroom of 100%, the X-Power handles Class A stereo amps up to 2 x 550W.
Tube Amps: standard tube amps have an efficiency of 20%. The X-Power is able to handle tube amps up to 2 x 200W.
