This product is no longer available to order and will not be coming back into stock.
In Stock products are those that are currently held in stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse. This stock status is updated regularly but is subject to change at very short notice.
Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.
Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.
Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.
Exclusive products are sold only through one, or sometimes a very small number of dealers. As part of their commitment to the product’s exclusivity, they carry most of the available stock. It's important to be aware that vinyl records are pressed using various vinyl compounds, which can significantly impact the time needed for flattening. For instance, ultra-thin "Dynaflex" records will require a different flattening time compared to heavier 180g or 200g records. To achieve optimal results, experimentation with the flattening time is necessary.
NOTE: Some records and vinyl mixtures can be harder to flatten and will require multiple flattening procedures and longer heating cycles. In any case, the temperature of Flatten it is preset to 58-60 degrees Celsius and it is not intended to increase or decrease the temperature.
- It is highly recommended to clean the record before using Flatten it device.
- It is crucial that the surfaces touching the vinyl record are dry, clean and undamaged.
- Do not use shellac records with Flatten it.
As there are many different types of vinyl mixtures and it is impossible to for us to know the pre-history (used conditions, prior heat exposure, etc..) of your records and whether the integrity of your vinyl record has been compromised, Pro-Ject Audio Systems cannot be held liable to any damage occurring to your records when using Flatten it. This also applies to new records fresh from the press, where the integrity of the vinyl mixture cannot be verified as well. The Flatten it has been tested with countless types of records and even with heat-cycles of several days no damage has occurred in our tests. The
use of Flatten it happens at your own responsibility and liability.
