Henley Audio’s Inaugural Dealer Conference
Last week, Henley Audio hosted its inaugural Henley Conference, bringing together dealers from across the UK and Ireland for a focused two-day celebration of hi-fi retail, manufacturer insight and industry collaboration. Designed to give dealers direct access to new products, brand presentations and the people behind some of the most respected names in audio, the event proved to be a resounding success from start to finish.

A Strong Start with Industry Insight
The event opened with a welcome address from Laurence Armstrong and Simon Powell of Henley Audio, setting the tone for a conference built around partnership, knowledge sharing and practical dealer support. They were followed by Heinz Lichtenegger, owner and founder of Audio Tuning (Pro-Ject Audio Systems, Musical Fidelity and more), who delivered a compelling presentation on the current state of retail in the hi-fi industry.
Heinz placed particular emphasis on the importance of specialist dealers in the sale of hi-fi, reinforcing a message that resonated strongly throughout the room: knowledgeable retail partners remain central to helping customers understand, experience and invest in quality audio.
Guy Hammett from Futuresource Consulting then provided valuable market insight into consumer behaviour, purchasing trends and the wider hi-fi landscape. His data-led session helped dealers understand not only what customers are buying, but how those buying decisions are changing - and how retailers can use that information to strengthen their own businesses.

Exclusive Brand Access and Product Conversations
Across both days, dealers were split into smaller groups for more personal brand presentations with attending manufacturers. These intimate sessions gave dealers the opportunity to hear directly about manufacturing processes, current brand priorities, future product development and upcoming timelines.
This format created the kind of open, two-way conversation that larger events often struggle to deliver, meaning dealers were able to ask detailed questions, build stronger manufacturer relationships and gain information that can be taken straight back to the shop floor. For any dealer looking to stay ahead of customer questions and market developments, these sessions were among the real highlights of the conference.

Networking, Conversation and Dealer Community
The schedule included regular breaks throughout both days, giving attendees time to enjoy a coffee, speak with Henley Audio staff, meet other dealers and continue the conversations sparked by each presentation. This relaxed networking atmosphere became a key part of the event’s success, helping to strengthen the sense of community across the UK hi-fi dealer network. That spirit continued into the evening, where dealers, manufacturers and Henley Audio staff came together for dinner, entertainment and the chance to relax, unwind and enjoy time with like-minded people.
Thank You to Our Dealers and Manufacturing Partners
Henley Audio would like to thank every manufacturer, dealer and member of staff who contributed to the success of the event. The team is now reviewing feedback and discussing how future conferences can be improved even further, and all comments from attendees remain very welcome.
