The M6si is internally configured as 2 independent monobloc power amps with a separate preamp. It is, in fact, a preamp with 2 monobloc power amps that just happen to share the same casework. It has 220wpc, very low distortion, outstanding noise ratio and extremely flat frequency response. Its inputs are phono (MM/MC), 4 line level, 1 balanced XLR and 1 USB ‘B’ up to 24bit 96kHz asynchronous.
The M6si's combination of high power, high current and extraordinary stability means that it can drive any loudspeaker with ease. The M6si uses Musical Fidelity's tried and tested ultra-low distortion power amplifier circuitry, which has enough current reserve to drive even the most demanding speakers with ease.
Very low noise and distortion, high-quality preamplifier completes the integrated amplifier giving a perfect sound from a compact looking full-size unit. A low noise phono stage has been added to allow direct connection of a turntable for vinyl listening. An asynchronous USB input has also been included which will connect to computer-based home audio and allow full quality playback of digital media, up to and including 24 bits, 96kHz sampling rate. The M6si will aesthetically match with present and future M6/s series products.
The M6si offers such excellent performance, facilities and power that unless you are seeking the most exotic high-end sound quality you would never need another amplifier.
