This product is no longer available to order and will not be coming back into stock.
In Stock products are those that are currently held in stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse. This stock status is updated regularly but is subject to change at very short notice.
Products that are Awaiting Stock are items that we would normally carry on stock at our Oxfordshire warehouse, but are currently unavailable. Chances are there is already more on the way, but if you would like a more accurate availability status please feel free to Contact Us.
Urgent order items are products that we do not normally carry on stock, but they are typically held on stock by our European suppliers. Depending on availability, we will seek to order these products quickly, when we have an enquiry. They can therefore be subject to quicker availability times than "Special Order" products.
Special Order items are those that are most often built to order. For these items, we tend to experience longer lead times as we negotiate them into the production line with our suppliers.
Exclusive products are sold only through one, or sometimes a very small number of dealers. As part of their commitment to the product’s exclusivity, they carry most of the available stock. T1 takes Pro-Ject's decades worth of engineering experience and expertise, alongside extensive market feedback, to produce an easy to enjoy piece of hi-fi that can be accommodated into almost any environment thanks to its multiple finish options and three output versions, including a Bluetooth option.
The T1 is based around a CNC-machined plinth carefully manufactured to ensure there are no hollow spaces inside, avoiding unwanted vibrations within the finished product. Mounted inside the plinth is a precision belt drive system, attached to a newly designed sub-platter, which itself is engineered to the finest tolerances for stable mounting into the stainless-steel axle/brass-bushing main bearing – the same bearing featured on the multi-award winning Essential III turntable. The sub-platter drives the new heavy, zero-resonance glass platter with absolute stability, ensuring an ideal playback surface for vinyl records.
The tonearm on the T1 is a new 8.6” model featuring a larger one-piece aluminium tube and an improved gimble bearing assembly with low-friction components for absolute accuracy in use. Mounted with an Ortofon OM 5E cartridge with elliptical diamond stylus for great sound, the tonearm is also pre-set for downforce and anti-skate settings, so there’s no need for any complicated set-up; you can get playing straight out of the box!
The standard T1 is finished with properly shielded, semisymmetrical, low-capacitance phono cables, designed by Pro-Ject, fixed to the turntable underneath the tonearm. It has a standard phono output, for connecting to a phono stage.
The T1 Phono SB features a built-in speed control for automatic switching between 33 and 45 RPM, and a switchable Moving Magnet phono stage, so you can connect directly to a LINE level input or still make use of an external phono stage.
The T1 BT features a switchable Moving Magnet phono stage with Bluetooth transmission so you can output at Line level, Phono or wirelessly via Bluetooth.
The T1 record player boasts premium materials, stylish aesthetics, a rich, lively sound and an accessible price. It can also be accommodated into almost any environment thanks to its multiple finish options and three output versions; Gloss Black, Matte Walnut or Matte White. The T1 is supplied with all the necessary set-up accessories, a felt platter mat and a detachable dust cover in the box.
Effortlessly simple to set-up and produces a highly engaging, accessible sound that really makes your records sing. Made in Europe, and featuring only premium materials – there is no plastic where it shouldn’t be, as every component part is made to the same exacting standards as far more expensive designs. ProJect have a passionate belief in the importance of true stereo sound, and their turntables are a key part of that.
Many of our turntables may have multiple compatible counterweights available. The counterweight you actually need is the one that allows you to balance your existing cartridge while ideally sitting near the tonearm bearing when fully installed.
If your counterweight sits right at the back of the tonearm, it runs the risk of introducing some micro-vibrations, so aiming for a counterweight where your cartridge weight is in the lower range of the supported weights is ideal.
To help you make the right decision, we've produced a comprehensive list of all our tonearms and counterweights.
